Ptuj is all ready for the largest cultural and traditional event this winter in Slovenia.

Every year, Kurentovanje brings 100,000 visitors from Slovenia and abroad to Ptuj. The Intercontinental meet of traditional carnival characters (15 February) will be attended by 2,225 individuals or 44 groups, while the International Carnival Parade (23 February) will feature 3,023 costumes in 49 groups from 11 countries. Also present at both events will be almost 1000 Kurents, who will also have a day dedicated specifically to them – Day of Kurent and Korent Groups (19 February).
