Intercontinental meet of traditional carnival characters – Folk Parade
Don’t miss this unique adventure and get a valuable insight into the colorful carnival traditions and rituals from near and far. Ptuj’s streets and squares will be filled by a number of traditional carnival characters from Slovenia, spearheaded by several hundred Kurents, and by carnival characters from over ten other countries from Europe and around the world. In addition to Kurents, we will be visited by several other carnival characters that have been put on Unesco’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We will turn Ptuj into the largest open-air cultural heritage museum in the world.
